Sheriff's Office Badge, Office of the Sheriff, Lee County Challenge Coins
In January, 2021, Jin Sheu sales team was approached by a client who wanted to have a challenge coin made that can perfectly represent his organization and also be given to his members as an honor to boost morale. Based on the preliminary artwork provided, our art team made some minor suggestions on the coloring details and metal finish to perfect the piece. After the artwork approval, this case was quickly sent to factory to have pre-production samples produced.

Client was very happy with the samples that Jin Sheu produced and we’ve received the following positive feedback from the client. This is indeed a stunning piece and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The process for the coin was zinc alloy coin with deep relief and soft enamel colors filled. The subtle details in the 5-point star and the handsomely carved crossed swords with shield are well crafted in the highest level of the piece. The horseshoe design with intricate patterns in the lower level complements the 5-point star. The antique finish further accentuates the details with contrasting metallic colors. Equally important is the final touch – the colored center seals on the front and back, which are the only colored portions in the entire piece. The rhythm and intensity coexist harmoniously, creating interest and contrast for this exquisite piece.

Zinc alloy coins can fully depict cubic motifs and suitable for the coins designed with empty spaces. Zinc alloy made challenge coins can be filled with soft enamel colors, imitation hard enamel colors or plain one with no colors.

Mint coins can be made with brass or zinc alloy, the character of mint coins is very obvious than the other effects. Recessed areas will be shiny as mirror and relief parts will be matte finishing. Most of mint coins with no colors filled as it interferes with the shiny effects.
