Printed Pins - Offset or Silkscreen Process
Custom printed pins are one of Jin Sheu's specialties. Whether utilizing silkscreen printing or offset printing, we manage all machinery from the initial steps to the final packaging, ensuring that every procedure is completed in-house. Silkscreen and offset printed lapel pins are excellent processes when replicating the exact details of your logos in full color, without any metal lines separating each color, and the printing can extend to the edge. If you're working within a limited budget or need your pins quickly, printed lapel pin is the best choice.

Metal Plates Preparation for Printing - The brass, aluminum, and stainless plates used for printed pins or etching need to be thoroughly cleaned before the process. This step is essential to ensure the printing quality is optimal. Each metal plate goes through this machine for brushing, washing, and finally drying in the last stage.
Silkscreen Printing I - Screen printing is a versatile printing technique that involves pushing ink through a fine mesh screen onto a surface. The process begins by creating a stencil on the screen, where certain areas are made impermeable to ink. This stencil can be created using various methods, such as applying a film or a liquid emulsion to the screen and then exposing it to light.
Silkscreen Printing II - Screen printing is popular for its ability to produce vibrant colors, crisp lines, and durable prints. We can match the Pantone colors specified by customers with a silkscreen printing process. Silkscreen printing can be done in as many colors as you wish, and the colors can be matched with nominated Pantone numbers. The unit price and printing setup fee increase proportionally with the number of colors; however, the unit price remains the same for 2 to 4 colors.
Offset printing is also known as 4-color process printing (yellow, magenta, cyan, & black). Usually, four print plates are required when the design does not require a metal border around the edge. An additional print plate is necessary when a metal border is required around the edge, and it is used for the white background color. Offset printed lapel pins are perfect for designs that are photorealistic or incorporate gradients or drop shadows.
The 4-color process allows for a wide range of colors to be used in creating intricate and detailed designs on lapel pins. This process involves transferring each color onto the pins using separate print plates, ensuring precision and accuracy in capturing every detail of the design. It is ideal for intricate designs that require a high level of detail and color accuracy. Additionally, the option to include a metal border around the edge adds a touch of sophistication to the finished lapel pins.
Whether you are looking to create a striking promotional pin or a personalized gift, offset printing offers a versatile and high-quality printing solution for bringing your designs to fruition. With its ability to faithfully reproduce colors and capture fine details, offset printed lapel pins are a popular choice for those seeking a professional and polished finish for their custom pins.
